Monarch Butterfly FSL Embroidery Design

This Monarch Butterfly FSL machine embroidery design includes two coordinated styles for making lightweight lace jewelry and accessories. The open cutwork version uses three thread colors to form airy wings with decorative vein details, while the filled version combines a warm satin outline with a delicate two-color lace texture. Both styles feature the rounded wings and bold internal markings associated with monarch butterflies and are supplied in four sizes from 45 to 60 mm wide.

Stitch the butterflies directly on water-soluble stabilizer, rinse away the stabilizer, and let the finished Free Standing Lace pieces dry flat. Small integrated loops make it easy to attach earring hooks, jump rings, chains, or clasps. Use the finished butterflies for earrings, necklace pendants, keychains, bag charms, or seasonal accessories. Two matching pieces can also be joined along the body to create a layered 3D butterfly.
